well i have to admit it hasnt hooked me yet, the multiplayer is more rainbow six that call of duty or some sort of merging of the two, its the been locked out of the game modes i want to play untill i hit a certin level thats annoying me just got hq so ill give that a bash

I think I am the only person who couldn't give two figs about Modern Warfare 2.

im just hoping ym stats dont get wiped on monday or tuesday but ive worked hard to get what ive got.

the think is people with the heart beat sensors and ive got nothing to conteract it untill im level 30.

it really rewarding to stick with 1 gun for instanc eive been using this setup

perk 2 = stopping power
perk 3 = scrambler so even if i do show up on the uav when they get near looking for me they carnt see me on the map.

I do believe all stats are being wiped on the day of release to make it an even playing field for everyone. Thats why even if I had gotten it early I would've just stuck to the campaign for now.

I could have picked it up today from a local shop in Glasgow. However there was no way I was paying £55 for it. My pre-orders from Shopto shipped today. I got my bro the normal version and got a Hardened Edition for myself. Quite fancy seeing what they have done to COD1.

Well I have completed the campaign and its up there with the best of Infinity Ward....but nothing Epic....been spending more time on GTA IV again and Lego Rockband

Charlie Brookers been posting from his twitter about the game, which he managed to get early. Apparently it's great, but the plot is a bit silly. He compared it to Die Hard 4.

I'm still quite amazed that 50 Cent is in it. Is he still looking for his ----ING SKULL?!??

They can't ban you for getting a game early. They may possibly use it as a way to determine possible piracy but you can get the game a couple days early by ordering it online.

They can tell if you are playing a modded version. You wont get banned for having a legit copy.

Huh? You do know that Wave 4 is part of that 'new combat software' you're talking about right? Its not something that helps the pirate scene.

The reason MS banned a bunch of people for playing the pirated early copy is because there were 3 versions, and one just happened to be a preview/review copy of some sort, that MS knew had been leaked, and hence it was nuked.

Leading to a big fat hairy ban lol!

Piracy is always going to be an issue, but they are much smarter now then they were before...

Incorrect. There hasn't been a review/preview copy released. The original releases were from the Super Elite bundle and extremely badly ripped missing vital 'files' that allow the game to boot and appear an original copy. This bad rip was then patched up about 300 different ways by 300 different people to get it to boot, each with a 99.999% chance it would instantly be detected by MS if you were online or not (at the time).

After these poor rips a legit one came along although again it was a bundle copy which is different from a standalone retail copy. Then a retail copy came out. Either way it doesn't really matter, MS have finally got their ---- together and come up with a solid way to detect modded consoles and ban them. Before they appeared to only be able to detect it if you did something stupid like playing a review copy 1 month early, but now you dont even have to play a game and they can detect it. I applaud them but it took long enough

I know a few early forza players that have been banned even though the image was verified stealth on ABGX. So MS seems to have something new up their sleeves. Shame they couldn't put the same resources into banning turbo controllers.

I read somewhere that they dont consider modded controllers a violation of the Live ToCs and hence dont do anything about it. Now obviously thats just hearsay but I could imagine it being true.

Indeed MS have publicly stated that its upto the individual game devs to limit the controllers. Its a shame that MS dont see it as a big problem, but it became that widespread that it ruined many games of COD4 and other FPS for a lot of people.

I just pre-ordered Assassins Creed 2, dont even know why as I am sure MW2 will be stuck in the drive for months.

Same here as I got Dragon Age last thursday one day early from Gameplay and that was with Royal Mail, Call of Duty is with Parcel Force will be annoyed if it does not arrive because they could of kept it to Royal Mail as I would get it tommorow with them.

You wouldnt be saying that if the strikes where still going ahead as planned. At least some of the retailers had the foresight to use couriers. My two copies are shipped and I have tracking numbers. However I really want to finish Drakes Fortune 2 before MW2 takes up my gaming life.
