Microsoft launches rewards programme

Update: The service is for Americans only. Sucks to be British eh?

Microsoft has finally unveiled its Rewards Programme which has being in planning for some years now.

You'll be able to earn Microsoft Points based on your online activity. As the official page shows, you can earn points for renewing your Xbox Live Gold subscription, subscribing to Netflix and participating in surveys.

On top of that for every purchase you make on the Xbox Marketplace, you'll earn up to 5% back in Microsoft Points!

We're just trying to work out if this is for members worldwide or just in America and we'll update you when we know.
